Vinaya Vidheya Rama my prediction: Another routine Boyapati Srinivas mass movie.
An year ago , the announcement of Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s film with Boyapati Srinivas has created a quite bit of buzz but also raised good number of eyebrows. I was one among the latter section of the people. I was surprised to see ram Charan opting a mass masala action flick while his career best film “Rangasthalam” was about to release.
I had a great belief that the film is going to be routine and the teaser released in November has only strengthened my belief. The songs that followed the teaser too have sounded routine and disappointing. And the trailer released yesterday has shattered any chance of me watching the film, thanks to the age old template followed by the makers.
Probable Spoilers: Read no further, if you are planning to watch the film. All the points below mentioned are purely my perceptions basing on the things I observed in the teaser, trailer & songs.
Story Outline: A feudal villain, Vivek Oberoi, controls an entire region with a private army of thugs carrying guns while a honest politician, Mahesh Manjrekar, tries to bring the area under government ruling. Prashanth, the brother of hero, takes charge to bring this feudal lord down which doesn’t work without the intervention and efforts of one and only Ram Charan and quite a few anti-gravity fights. This forms the crux of the story.
Some good to know details: A group of five orphans grow up together to become a family. Four of them get married and one is not married yet as he is the hero and there is a heroine that he needs to fall in love with for the sake of romance and duets.
Villain, as usually, couldn’t lay a single finger on the hero so he targets hero’s family which agitates the hero and forces him to give some blood boiling, eardrum imploding dialogues followed by few insane anti-gravity, anti-logical and crane operator friendly fights.
There is a family group song, two duets, one item song and a montage song as these orphans grow up to become family.
Songs & Lyrics: For me, Vinaya Vidheya Rama is the worst album of Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad. All the songs except “Amma Nanna” are routine, repetitive and irritating with Sri Mani writing routine Tinglish lyrics.
Overall: After keenly watching the teaser & trailer multiple times and listening to the songs I can say this film is going to be a routine, unengaging and head banging experience. Watch at your own risk.
