TOM CLANCY’S JACK RYAN TV Show Review: A worthy action thriller.
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is one of the most successful fictional characters created for the audience of various media. Started as the lead character in “The Hunt for Red October” novel way back in 1984, the character “Jack Ryan” has featured in many critically acclaimed novels, films, video games and TV show.
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan TV show follows the similar line all the novels and films followed. Though the story line is nothing new in the show, a well written screenplay and characters with gripping narration makes you binge watch the whole season.
The only thing I felt bad about the show was the way climax was rushed. When you have a mastermind antagonist who’s always ahead, you would definitely expect something better but the season finale, though not bad, seems rushed as it ends pretty quickly.
John Krasinski as Jack Ryan is a perfect cast for the titular role. Coming after a huge success with “A Quiet place”, he plays the character with utmost conviction and delivers all the emotions with ultimate ease. Be it action scenes or drama scenes, he is a delight to watch.
Wendell Pierce as James Greer at times resembles his famous Robert Zane role from “Suits” but delivered yet another powerful performance. The scenes between him and Jack Ryan are really good.
Dina Shihabi as Hanin Ali is the best written character of the whole season. As a loyal but troubled wife, worrying mother and empowered woman, she’s absolutely brilliant. Among the dominating male leads, Hanin’s character is a treat to watch. She’s my favorite performer of the show.
Though there are few cliches, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan TV show offers great experience on the whole. The show is worth the time spent and I recommend it to anybody who loves action and thriller genres. Also the show is renewed for second season which means more fun is on the way.
